KUALA LUMPUR: Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (PERODUA) hari ini secara rasmi melancarkan kenderaan utiliti sukan (SUV) terbaharunya, iaitu Perodua Aruz untuk pasaran tempatan.

Presiden dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutifnya, Datuk Zainal Abidin Ahmad, berkata SUV tujuh tempat duduk itu ditawarkan menerusi dua pilihan varian iaitu 1.5 X dan 1.5 Advance, masing-masing pada harga RM72,900 dan RM77,900 dengan lima pilihan warna merangkumi Ivory White, Glittering Sliver, Electric Blue, Granite Grey dan warna baharu Amazon Green.

Katanya, Perodua Aruz adalah kenderaan cekap tenaga (EEV) keempat dihasilkan syarikat automotif terbabit, dengan 95 peratus daripada komponennya adalah daripada sumber tempatan.

“Perodua Aruz menerajui arah baharu untuk kami. Kemasukan ke segmen SUV ini membawa PERODUA ke pasaran baharu yang mana kami akan mempertingkatkan inisiatif kepuasan pelanggan untuk memenuhi keperluan dan kehendak mereka.

Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd, PERODUA (054795V), established in 1993, is a joint venture company between Malaysian and Japanese partners.

The shareholders of Perodua are UMW Corporation Sdn Bhd 38%, MBM Resources Berhad 20%, Daihatsu Motor Co. Ltd 20%, PNB Equity Resource Corporation Sdn Berhad 10%, Daihatsu (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd 5%, Mitsui & Co. Ltd 4.2% and Mitsui & Co. (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd 2.8%.

The company started operations in 1994 and the ever so popular Perodua Kancil was introduced to the Malaysian market in August the same year.

As at end 2016, Perodua has sold 3 million vehicles sine 1994.

Perodua headquarters is located on a 520.7 acre site in Sungai Choh, Rawang, Selangor Darul Ehsan. It houses among others Perodua corporate building, R&D testing laboratories and styling studio, vehicle test track, manufacturing plant, engine plant, pre-delivery inspection area, vehicle distribution stockyard, part warehouse, Perodua Learning Centre, mosque and a child care centre.

FACTS

The plant currently has the capacity to produce 350,000 units per annum.

To date, PSSB has 182 sales branches and 202 service branches nationwide to serve its customers efficiently.

Perodua vehicles are sold in countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Fiji, Nepal, Mauritius and Sri Lanka.

PERODUA GROUP

Perodua Auto Corporation Sdn Bhd, PCSB (400745K) was established in the final quarter of 2001. Besides Perodua, the two other joint venture partners of PCSB are Daihatsu Motor Co. Ltd. and Mitsui & Co. Ltd both of Japan. The manufacturing operations of the Perodua Group are being managed by PCSB.

Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd, PSSB (066332U) is responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of all Perodua vehicles as well as after sales and spare parts operations.

Perodua Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, PMSB (095999T) is the company responsible for the manufacturing of Perodua vehicles.

Perodua Engine Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, PEMSB (400706M) undertakes the assembly of the vehicle engines and also manufacturing of selected engine component parts.

Perodua Global Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, PGMSB (400709X) is the first Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) state of the art new manufacturing facility in the country. It has the biggest automotive rate in the country at 75%. It Is also able to produce 200,000 vehicles per annum on 2-shift cycle.

THE LATEST PERODUA ALZA – MALAYSIA’S MOST POPULAR SEVEN-SEATER MPV NOW WITH NEW LOOKS, MORE EQUIPMENT AND BETTER VALUE

Rawang, 5 Sep: The nation’s most popular and most affordable seven-seater Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) is now up to date for 2018, as Perodua officially introduces the latest iteration of the Alza to the Malaysian market.

Priced from RM51,490 to RM62,690 (OTR without insurance), the latest Perodua Alza comes in Standard (MT), Standard (AT), SE (AT) and Advance (AT) variants. All are powered by a 1.5 litre 3SZ-VE DVVT engine that’s connected to a five-speed manual transmission on the Standard MT and a four-speed automatic transmission on all other variants.

Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd Managing Director Dato’ Dr Zahari Husin said, “Our latest Perodua Alza continues to offer the comfort, practicality, versatility and ample room for seven that Malaysians have loved and adored for nearly a decade.”

“With an abundance of storage compartments and flexible seating configurations, the latest Alza is perfect for family outings and everyday use in line with its ‘Versatile as You’ tagline,” he said, adding that over 344,200 units have been sold since the Alza’s birth in 2009.

New to all Alza variants are redesigned instrument panel graphics, a new-look centre cluster and a two-motion remote control key (press once to unlock driver’s door, double-press to unlock all doors).

Air-con flow to the third row is now better thanks to new fixed fins between the front centre air vents, an improved evaporator and enhanced heat-exchange piping.

All variants get front fog lamps, a rear spoiler, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, solar and security window film, reverse sensors and 15-inch alloys that are finished in silver on the Standard variant and titanium on SE and Advance variants.

Standard and SE variants get a new audio system with USB and Bluetooth functionality, while SE and Advance variants benefit from a bolder and more prominent appearance, courtesy of a new front bumper with a larger lower intake, a new twin-bar front grille and new side skirts, while a new rear bumper and tailgate garnish round up the changes at the back.

Featured on the SE and Advance variants are new-design leather seats and front corner sensors, while the Advance exclusively gets a roof-mounted monitor and an Android-based touch-screen multimedia system with Smart Link, Bluetooth, navigation and reverse camera functions.

“Recognising customers’ fondness for personalising their vehicles, Perodua is introducing a range of unique GearUp accessories for the Alza, for the first time. These include exterior cosmetic add-ons, quilted seat covers and sun shades,” Dato’ Dr Zahari said.

On the safety front, dual front airbags, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist and ISOFIX child seat points in the middle row are standard across the Alza line-up, netting all variants a four-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating.

“The order books are now open for the latest Perodua Alza, which will hit our showrooms nationwide in stages beginning 6 September. See it in the metal, experience it and take it for a spin – our authorised sales advisors will be more than happy to serve you, assist you and answer any queries you might have,” said Dato’ Dr Zahari.

The latest Perodua Alza is offered with a five-year/150,000 km warranty (whichever comes first). Available colours are Granite Grey (new to the Alza, exclusive to SE and Advance variants), Ivory White, Glittering Silver, Mystical Purple and Electric Blue.
